Seaside

We are having a great time! The kids couldn't wait to get here and the drive was a piece of cake. We only had to stop once to feed Mayla then back on the road. The Finnestads arrived a couple of minutes after us and then we had the excitement of getting everything up to our rooms. I didn't feel like we packed too much stuff with 4 children but then I saw it all on the loading cart. WOW! I only wish that I had thought to take a picture.

Grandma and Grandpa were able to come for today so we packed it full of fun. We started by hitting the pool at 9am. The ocean air is cold so we were thankful that they heat the pool a couple of extra degrees. I wasn't able to get in today because I was enjoying Malya but everyone said that they didn't want to get out of the water because the air was much colder then the water.

Then it was off to the beach. Aunt Janelle and Uncle Eric came to Seaside for their getaway and we had the joy of playing with them for a couple of hours. Uncle Eric is a great sandcastle builder and Kadin really enjoyed cuddling with his special Aunt Janelle.

And while we did enjoy getting our feet wet for a couple of minutes we really spent most of our time doing things like flying kites, making sand castles, digging big holes, and covering the boys in the sand...just for the fun of it!

Father and husband- I'm very thankful they like each other!

Grandpa enjoying the surf with the kids

Jimmy and Kevin had a blast digging huge holes! And of course all of the boys joined in...

Just check out how deep it is

How high can YOU fly a kite? I think Austin won today!

The girls loved building the sand castle...

Where's Jonathan?

Mayla really enjoyed sunbathing for a little while

I bet you can't guess what we wore for dinner...I mean ate!
