Saturday morning we went for a long drive up the mountain. Kevin saw a
sign about a lake 10 miles up the road. The mas was on a mission. The
kids were a little scared. The road was dirt and filled with large pot
holes and occasional cliffs. In the end we didn't make it to the lake because after 8 miles the road was
impassable and we had to turn around... but all was not lost. We found
snow! And went for a hike. Kevin was really proud of the kids because they hiked up an extremely steep incline. It was a little harder to get back down then it was to get up!
We spent the rest of the day riding bikes, playing at the river, enjoying family time, and the campfire!
She has had a wonderful Kindergarten year and LOVED having Mrs. Droessler for her teacher. She has been working hard at learning how to read and math.
I'm amazed at how much she loved school this year. I can't even tell you how often she would ask "Is it lunch time yet? Is it time to go to the bus? Is it time for school? Mom! Are we going to be late?? Hannah just went to the bus!!! We have to go NOW!" No joke, hundreds of time a week...
