Trick or Treat

Pure joy!

Dash

Emma the baker
Jack-Jack
Getting the kidos ready to go trick or treating was a blast! Dash and Jack-Jack ran around as fast as they could and I got to throw sugar all over Emma. Of course she licked it all off! Yummy...

The cutest kids on the block

Austin's first class party

Austin had a party in his first grade class to celebrate the new fall season. I was able to attend and had a great time meeting his friends and talking to his teacher, Ms. Fisher.

Halloween Carnaval

We took that kids to the Tahoma High School tonight to celebrate with the "big" kids. The high schooler's put together a carnival to celebrate Halloween and we had a great time. They went fishing, played basketball, had a cake walk, got their faces painted, and participated in the costume contest (I couldn't believe that they didn't win!). The Earnhardt's went with us but we didn't get to visit with them much. Bummer.

And the winner is...

I would like to tell you all that everyone that participated in my little guessing game did a great job! However....I can only have one winner. I am pretty sure that everyone thought the right answer, but only one reader actually commented with both answers correctly.

So, without further ado the winner is...Erin!! Yea! Great job!! You might all be wondering what Erin win's. I'm thinking that I will be making her an extra special s'more next time we go camping together...

Pumpkin Pickin'

A full year has gone by since the annual reunion of the pumpkin patch crew. This is one of our favorite family traditions. We have been anxiously waiting for the leaves to begin to change color and the pumpkins to begin to grow. This year we were also holding our breath as the days leading up to our annual pumpkin picking tradition passed...would the Finnestad's be joining us this year?? Baby Jonathan should be arriving soon and we are thrilled to meet him, but...we really wanted the Finnestads to be with us!! So I have to send a special thank you to Jonathan for waiting to come...any time now buddy, we are all ready to see you!

November can be filled with rain here in Washington so we were blessed to have a sunny day to find the perfect pumpkin, run through the corn maze, slide down the mountain of wood chips and play with our friends.

Emma's 6 new pets

We have been trying all season to get to one of Josiah's or James' soccer games. We were finally able to go today! It was a wonderful sunny day but the fields were squishy and muddy. As Emma was squishing her toes in the mud (literally... she was wearing sandals) she started to find snails. 6 of them to be exact. When she began begging and pleading with her cute little eyes to bring them home, how could we resist?

YEA!! No school today, time to play!

Austin didn't have to go to school today and we decided to celebrate by going to the zoo. They were thrilled to go and even more excited that Aunt Janelle was coming with us. Some of the highlights were sliding down the long slide, feeding the goats, chasing the peacocks, touching sea cucumbers, and hunting for hidden animals (and some not so hidden!).
