Picture day!

Today we had family pictures done at Olan Mills. I wish that I could show you the pictures but I'm afraid that you are going to have to wait about 2 months! More on that soon...

The day started with an anxious mother trying to make outfits and hair perfect (I should also mention that she was emotional because this is the first family pictures without Timothy). We arrived early only to find out that the photographer was late. As soon as she arrived she had two other costumers waiting to pick up pictures and spend about 10 minutes helping them. So...before we even began the photo shoot, we had been waiting about 30 minutes and our children were already loosing control.

Then we began. She took 3 pictures of the entire family with about 1/2 cooperation from the children. Then we tried to take a picture of the kids together. That is when everything hit the fan. Kadin began a HUGE fit. He was screaming uncontrollably for about 30 minutes. During that time we did get a few wonderful pictures of Emma. Austin did get a few pictures and almost smiled in them. It was Kadin's turn. He continued to cry and scream! I mean tears dripping off his face, snot running into his mouth, clinging to mommy. We tried over and over. He refused to let go of me! Finally we found the solution. I sat on the ground, Kadin on my lap. We took a drape and covered me completely...so I became the back drop. We played peek-a-boo until he started to smile. Thankfully we were able to get a couple of good pictures him (and you can't even tell that he is on my lap!).

We went to the computer to complete the order only to realize that the bottom of the family pictures were cut off. So, I made a huge order (the sheets were $0.75 and the sale ends tomorrow) the pictures will be back on Oct 29. Since I already know that we will need a re shoot I made the appointment for the re shoot on November 1 and we will get those back the end of November. Next time I plan to ask everyone to pray for picture day for the Currey household!!!
